Can anyone tell me what way the bearing cap is suposed to go on in relation to the oil holes in the bearing. (i have checked for marking on the side of the cap and there is nothing) any help appreciated..

the arrow will point torwards the front of the truck. and the bearing with the hole in it will go on top. the other half of the bearing (one with no hole) will go on the bottom or the cap side of the rod.

that help any?

there is holes on both peices of the bearing. Should both holes be 180 degrees from each other?

holes should be directly opposite each other.

not 180*

these are pictures of main bearing not rod bearings but it will give you the idea.

you will want the oiler groove to be lined up for both top and bottom half. these are offset as you can see. i think i remember the rod bearings being offset as well. but i am not 100% sure. and im too lazy to pull a cap off to look and see.

hopefully this gives you an idea tho. if still not sure take a pic and either send it to me or post it on the forum and i can know for sure.
