has anyone used these. I know their customer service has been accused of being horrible but for under $600 powdercoated these sliders seem good. Has anyone ever used these?

I contacted him about sliders. I was picking a set up when I go to socal in the next two months. Did you get the same exact ones?

Ok, so you made a good decision. Then why post about these other ones?

Yes, I ordered the exact same ones on Darby's LC 100 in those pics. I just got an e-mail from John at White Knuckle, they will hopefully be shipping end of this week.

LJ, those first ones offer ZERO protection by the ends. If your tire slip off a rock the wrong way, youre still going to hit the rocker/fender.

Well I was still trying to analyze other options:)

I looked at the pictures again, I see what you mean. Also, I've been meaning to ask...Where did you get those Jerry cans that are you have on your truck?

I should have a pallet of Scepter cans coming in soon.

1 - Rocky Road sliders are junk. My friend's 100 was their prototype truck. They drilled through the pinch welds without asking and the material they used wouldn't support crap.

2 - I have a box a new Scepters coming to me, from a US supplier. I was surprised no one jumped on the post someone made about a place having them.

3 - Always good to have fuel in them, what if someone else on the trail runs out?

I don't like either of those sliders. The Darby ones stick out too far. I don't think either have the overall tube diameter (tube strenth) of Slee's. His 100 sliders are larger than his 80's. Hard to tell from the pics.

Did you ever get this particular brand rock slider by Rocky Road? The DOM steel, the very tight design, etc. Everything is above the frame. They bolt on and made of the right steel. Setting aside the price, they look good. Just wonder if you did go with them and what you thought.
