Rio Puerco run on Father's Day

Was a good day!
On a different note, it appears that they are filming a movie down by the Southern exit to the Puerco and have closed of some of the areas. Might have problems getting out and for sure will have issues going in that way.

The verdict. It appears I broke an inner axle shaft on the short (passenger) side.

Front end on jack stands. TC in 2WD. Hubs locked. Turn driver wheel by hand ... driveshaft turns, passenger wheel does not. Turn passenger wheel by hand ... driveshaft does not turn, driver wheel does not turn. With the TrueTrac the wheels should turn in opposite directions with both hubs locked.

Now to find my extra shaft.

Now to find my extra shaft.

Well, I found two long side and two short side shafts. The two short sides are the same length. The long shafts are different, but the shorter one is labeled FJ40. According to my notes:

Mini-truck short side is unique.
FJ40 long side is unique.

FJ60 short side and FJ40 short side are the same.
FJ60 long side and mini long side are the same.

I recall harvesting FJ60 shafts and mini shafts for the birfields. Damn, I have no idea what I have. Anybody know the length of an FJ60 short side axle shaft? Or the length of a mini short side?

Filming out there will probably be Breaking Bad, my all-time favorite and the best dramatic TV series ever made.

This will be the 5th and final season and they are finishing it now. It is supposed to air on AMC July 17th.
