I am trying to figure out what type of rims will fit on my 85FJ60 with 3" OME lift. I have my mind set on 33x10.5R15 BFG ATKO tires. My stock rims are shot, so I need a new set? Can anyone tell me what rims will fit without rubbing. I am very unfamiliar with backspacing and the "ins and outs" of rim sizing, so speaking slowly and clearly will help.

Thanks.

Check the FAQ sticky for more information...

15x8" rims would be great. The stock rims 15x6" should work but a wider rim is probably recommended for the 10.5' wide tires. The bolt pattern is 6x5.5". The stock backspacing is 3.5". This is measured from the inside edge of the rim to the inside face that the wheel hub bolts to. The problem is that some of the rims have stamped cut-outs that cause rubbing. "rock crawler" style rims often have this problem. A smaller back spacing will sometimes prevent rubbing, but this puts the wheel centerline farther outboard and the tire won't be centered in the wheel well.

I went with a 16X8 w 3/5 bs and 285/75/16 ATKOs. The 16 inch rim didn't cause any rubbing

So what size in American (inches) does that work out to. I figure 33"? Are those Rock Crawlers? Do you know the product #?
