I bought this 2003 Land Cruiser more than five years ago, but I never set up my own build thread. So I'm gonna do that now. I've done some maintenance on it but no real mods so you haven't missed much! It's a great truck, but we don't use it a lot. The folks we bought it from were the original owners, and the invoice in the glove box said that they paid $55,000 for it.

I'm pretty sure the only mod I've ever done was to put a MUD sticker on it.

:)

Since I bought it, I have:
put on all new shocks
had the 90k service done
put on new tires
fixed the brakes
put on a new rear propeller shaft
done the heater hose T's
put in a new battery

All the parts we've bought were OEM, so it's totally stock.

It has almost 111,000 miles on it.

It drives like it will run forever!

Welcome! Looks like you have a great base to build on. What mods do you have planned?

BTW, Use to live in Wyoming. Near Laramie. I sure do miss it.

Too clean! You need to meet us up by the border and go get it dirty in the Pryors.
Thanks for posting!

I recently noticed that the truck's steering seemed a little "wandery" and imprecise. This was before I put on new tires. My mechanic at the local Toyota dealership said that the front bearings needed to be re-packed. He installed the new tires, re-packed the bearings, and gave it an alignment. It now literally drives like a new truck. It is smooth as silk, carves a straight line down the highway, and is as quiet as a church mouse. What an amazing truck, and to think that it is 15 years old!

Thanks for the props! I’ll join you guys on a trail run some day!

Replaced all three wiper blades today with new OEM units.

:)

Wow! That's a clean 100.

Not too many Wyoming folks on this site, but then again there's not too many Wyoming folks anywhere. That's why it's so great! You could spend a lifetime exploring the non-paved areas of this state. We are lucky to have so many great places to go flex our Cruisers.

Pryor's are in my backyard and on my shortlist for some camping and exploring next summer.
