whats it look like, whats it do, wheres it at?

any one have apicture of it?

The dashlight dimmer is a rheostat - the knob to the left of the steering column.

only wiring diagram i could find was for 88, showed the radio power going to a rheostat.

trying to figure out power loss to radio.

The OE radio has a bulb in the dash lighting circuit. It would go back to the rheostat. The main radio power comes through the ignition relay and should be 100% seperate from the dash lighting.
