brazed the rest of the right corner.

Positioned the hood flat for the next bit.

unfortunately the fuse blew on the compressor and I have no acces today, so no grinding with the small air grinders.

Put some shape in a piece of steel using the E-Wheel. Next I layed it under the bad section and drew the holes on it.
After drilling the holes I bolted it on the hood.

Next I drilled 4 small holes on the edge of the Patch plate to fixatie it to the hood around the bad area.
Next I will cut out the rusted area, fixate the patch plate and draw the exact patch with the holes in the correct position.

this way the holes Are in the exact same position as before.
 
next was the hinge position.
Started with a larger patch with the complete hinge shape.

although being a great exercise I Decided not to use it.

The overall shape is ok but there are a number of large dents in the main surface and the sides have a number of tears with very thin metal. Not sure How to aproach that, replacing will lead to a lot more work in the shaping are.
