The harness is done in my FJ40. As I began to collect parts I decided to replace the fuse box too. While the cover is available, I could not find the entire fuse box anywhere except for ebay, from Indonesia. I figured, for $20, whats the worst I could lose?

So I ordered this: NEW TOYOTA LAND CRUISER FJ40 FUSE BOX AND COVER '71 EARLY LAND CRUISER FJ40 | eBay

It showed up 17 days later, after a long trip from Indonesia, to Singapore, to Hong Kong, to Los Angles, to San Francisco, to Fremont, to my house.

Overall, it looks like a knockoff, complete with the crappy looking box. Upon opening it up, I realized this is perfect for my application. My FJ40 isn't original, so the fuse box doesn't have to be. The build quality looks decent. The cover fits better than my original cover. While the metal is thinner than stock (0.65mm vs 0.85mm), its nicely zinc plated. From 5 feet away, it looks like an original fuse box. For $20, I'm really happy.

Has anyone else bought one of these?

I got one a few years ago. It is a good knock-off. My board was upside down in the metal bracket housing, but it was easy to flip. I am happy with it.

Oddly enough they like to burn the light fuse and melt the cover up there..weird I've had that happen on my '71 and I noticed my '76 55 did it too. Odd. Looks like a good deal if you don't get the "burn." BTW I put in a relay system for my headlights and it has worked so good.
