looks as tho, at least for now, cowy is going to merge into horsetooth. we decided it was win win for both clubs.

a little history...horsetooth wasn't a toyota specific club, but it has fizzled down to five toyota guys who are getting burned out. their "leader" (i won't call him prez, cause he says he's too burned out for that ;) ), frank, had already talked to tlca about becoming a chapter with the five toyota guys.

by merging in with their club, we will bring new excited blood to help revitalize their members and our club, with whom no one has a lot of experience setting up clubs, nor has any contacts, will be able to see how a club operates on the backside (it's been a long time since myself and a few friends started wclc and there's a lot of political crap, government forms, etc that goes on).

all thought that this would be best. frank has invited us all to their club meeting tonight (ihop on...can't remember the road, but rescue cruiser and tj both know) at 7pm for introductions and to break it all down..

next meeting is the third tuesday in february. we will need to discuss officer elections and frank would like to set up the first club run.

also, if anyone is interested, the state association meeting is january 21, in colorado springs. frank and i will be there to discuss dues to united since we both already pay through multiple other clubs.

Yeah what Ige said ;)

We had a good showing I think.

Trucruiser, Carlos
RescueWagon, James
nuclearlemon, Ige
PabloCruise, TJ
FJBen, me ;)
John, owner of Coyote Cruisers
Frank of Horsetooth 4wd club

Ige pretty much summed it up, they have everything setup already and just need the TLC santioning. Which with the few of us being TLCA members can be done fairly easily as I gather it.

Sounds like meetings *might* be able to be held at Pederson Toyota in Ft Collins, and at the next meeting we need to be thinking about who's gonna run the shindig and all that stuff...Just remember I am the "3rd" member... ;)

Aside from my dog systemmatically bugging everyone and my kids coming in to make noise i think it went well.

I'll post more later this afternoon so we can start the other processes and get info.

The dog was fine...

And Claire was running around w/ Ben's hat on, like this:

So that was fun too.

Like was said above, we moved forward with merging interest and experience.

The Horsetooth Wheelers, the club that Frank is in meet TONIGHT, at 7, at the IHOP on Harmony in Ft Collins.

Sorry to those whoe did not get directions. It looks like we need to move away from meeting at people's houses, and meet at Pancake Houses!!!

Anyone who can show up tonight would be most welcome.

This will truly be a great Cruiser collaboration. The Horsetooth Wheelers are set up as a club, all paperwork and such done. I think we will have enough TLCA folk to start a TLCA Chapter.

Be thinking about the meeting in February. We will need to elect folks to leadership posts. Frank and his club are kinda burned out, we'll need to pick up the torch...

It was great meeting everyone last night at Ben's. I should be going tonight with TJ to the Horsetooth 4x4 meeting.

I am still upset though over the back of the bus treatment, Diesel discrimination is wrong!

Meeting at Pedersons sound cool, especially management would agree to giving us a private showing of the first FJ Cruiser they get in before putting it out on display...someone pass the idea to Frank.

Anybody know if our Wyoming brethren feel alienated with the club name Horsetooth 4 Wheelers?

horsetooth 4wheelers is the official name...we can still call ourselves cowy if we all decide to, but for tax/banking/government b.s. purposes, we will be horsetooth. besides, frank said most of the guys refer to themselves as "ht4x4"

The meeting at IHOP went well. It has been decided that the 2 groups will join forces to form 1 Northen Colorado/Southern Wyoming toyota wheeling club. The meetings will be on the 3rd Tuesday of the month and the Trail Runs will be the 1st Sunday of the month, this will all start in February. We have picked a trail for the first run and I will be starting a new thread with all the info.

Should be a good group.

Works for me.

Sorry Ive been missing these past few weeks...... As some already know we lost internet and our phone. As well as gas money for trips. Well its all good for now. I just got my internet back 4 hours ago. And my sister is letting us use one of her cell phones until I get my phone paid up. Sucks being a student again... anyway I get paided now so I will be able to afford to stay intouch.

Good to hear everything is working fine. I have been putting the word out to Toyota owners I run into around Cheyenne. With the addition of this other club we should be up to at least 11 members? Not bad in my book. What about the club name... will we need to rethink it again or go with the other clubs name?

legally, we have to use horsetooth, but we can still call ourselves cowy cruisers. all the paperwork is under horsetooth however.

Horsetooth 4 Wheelers is the legal name Frank and crew set up their club bank acc't, non-profit status, etc...

I'll ask Woody to change the name over.

Jame's wife offered to take a stab and a revised logo to reflect solid Toyota 4x4 content.

Looking at those present at Ben's, IHOP and those who could not make it, I think we are pushing 20 folks...

My wife pointed out that our normal practice is church on Sunday - so we may want to rethink Club Trail Runs being the first Sunday of the month. So does Chalmic (trying to get him to join) I want to make this as family friendly as possible.

Same here...would love to make it but Church is my priority on Sunday's. If you guys plan any weekday or Sat runs let me know! :)

Short of us forming our own church, we probably better make the runs be a Saturday...

Forming our own church completely cracked me up....

It won't surprise my wife if we did form our own church, she already thinks that I'm involve in some cult. I have had four or five guys stop by the house wanting to talk cruisers, just because they saw our three sitting out front.
