That summary is most excellent. I did wire in a grom device to allow me to add a 3.5mm input, then added a cheapo bluetooth receiver. This kludge has gotten me through the last few years relatively fine. I considered the VLine but the cost vs benefit was questionable for me. For better or worse, the tesla style screen or CC3 seems like the top of the not-great pile so I may end up going that route in the long run.

All is not lost.
Read the 68 ohm thread. Now there is a lower plastic face.
Any double din, resistor, swap to used LC side panels, done.
