Is it necessary to remove the hard/metal lines (and soft lines) before trying to remove or replace the soft rubber lines? I've got the hose on order, should I be removing the hard lines in anticipation of the replacement to save time? Or are the hard lines stiff enough to leave in place without damaging them during removal and installation of the soft hose?
