Hi...looking for advice from fellow 80 series LC owners. I just had all of the weather stripping changed on my LC including the quarter panel windows. I ordered new louvers as mine were a bit faded and thought I would put them on myself. Started this yesterday and now it looks like they should have been done before the quarter panel window gaskets were put back into place as I'm not able to get them under the window gasket now. After reading multiple threads, I'm confused as to whether or not they need to go under the gasket. It seems most folks are installing without removing the window gaskets so I'm just trying to figure out how important it is. I'm not opposed to removing the window gasket but I'm not sure how difficult or easy that is.

Just found this link which is a good walkthrough without removing gasket. I'm not sure it can be done but giving it a try.

Completed using a thin cooking spatula and WD40...looks great.
