I'm replacing the power steering pump in my '85 FJ-60. The used pump I have has a slightly different high pressure fitting. It has a nut in the middle that has a spring behind it that pushes it out. You can push it with your finger. It's a lot like a tire valve, the nut is the needle thatgets pushed in the valve. The old pump just has a hole in that spot. Nothing came out when I disconnected the line. Everything else is the same on the pumps. The line could connect to the new pump just fine, but not sure if it's supposed to have that nut there or not.
Thanks for any info!

When I replaced mine the new pump was identical to the old pump. I suggest you double check that you've got the correct part. Good luck.
