Nice!. Good looking fenders in the background.

Thanks bud! I'm real happy with how the fenders came out.

You bend up all that tube?
Not a kit? Looks really good! You're making me want to spend money!

Yes sir. All done in house. .090" wall 1 1/2" HREW mounted to four points on the frame, with 18ga sheet on top. Not cheap though as it takes a couple days to make them, not including paint. But if you have money burning a hole in your pocket, bring your truck up, I'd be happy to make you a pair ;)

Finally had some time to assemble a set of the laser cut panels and check fitment on our test truck. While they're not perfect yet, they are dialed in quite nicely.
The floor elevation is spot on

Match up to the A pillar and bolt alignment is good

Thickness problems I've had with the B pillar are cured

.

Though I do need to adjust where the outer and center panel meet the factory lines. Overall length is great

And the outer face is nice and flush

The last piece to sus out is the gasket mating surface. This is proving to be a challenge, cutting a flat piece that needs to be formed into a compound curve, and is pushing the limits of my CAD program. I've had a piece digitally scanned and will be sending it out for cutting today, hopefully they can use it and get something back to me soon. So close now!

I'd still really like to get someone to install a set of these, and get some feedback if possible. I don't care if it's a stocker or a wheeling rig, or what kind of shape it's in. If a wheeling rig I'll send a stripped version of them with a full skirt that can be cut to match yours. A free set of stronger than stock rockers people, help a brother out!

Moving forward,

Jr.

Let's talk. Think these rockers could be made to work on a late model tub?

Sorry Randy, late model rockers are completely different. If you didn't want to keep exactly stock and were willing to do some fabbing they would probably work. Next time I'm over I'll bring a set with me and we can make a comparison.

Finally have the door gasket piece figured out, quick grind and it drops right in. Assembly is getting faster and my TIG welding is improving. Just waiting to get another truck in so I can check overall fitment.

Buddy of mine is having his 12/77 FJ-40 repainted, and needs some panel work / replacement.

What are you looking for a set of rockers? He's local enough for pick-up.

Yes they will fit, as long as the fuel tank is under the pass seat, and not the later model body with the tank under the body. Introductory price of $200.
(Please note, introductory pricing has expired, $450 a pair now. Thank you)

Looks great. I'm in the process of replacing my 74 floor pan and rockers. What's the chance of getting some of those heavy duty panels for the right and left side.

Chances are very good, in stock ready to go. Introductory offer still holds, you pay shipping. PM me your info.
Thank you,
Junior.

Any more photos of them installed? Are all seams fully welded?

Hello arnott1t,
All seams are NOT fully welded, heat distortion would be too great to overcome. All rockers have three vertical pieces stitch welded inside and out creating a double box design, from 11ga steel, that makes them far stronger than original. I will post some pics when I get to the shop.
Thank you for your interest,
Jr.
