I would like to replace the whole parking brake handle assembly on my 85 HJ75. Unfortunately the part numbers in the parts book are not available anymore. Anyone know any other options? This is a rhd.

I got mine from Partsouq, but that was 2 years ago.

The part listed at the top of this clip from Partsouq is what belongs in my 1988 BJ74 RHD.
Their suggested substitutions is what I bought: it is black, not gray. I don't care.
Amayama shows they have a replacement for the replacement. I think. See pics below.

We are installing 46210-60170-B0 on the 92 Troopy.....$41 from Megazip. Grey handle.

I was going to use a 76 series(2014) handle we had from the 79 build but it interferes with the center console we are running. The 76 is different for sure from the 75/79. They bolt in the same though and the cable attaches....it works just fine. I think it's just angled differently. They all seem pretty interchangeable.

I found this number for the boot, which also appears to be available
4624360060B0 - blue grey

@coldtaco I'm going to buy these parts, if you want you can wait for me to confirm they fit in an older model. I'll report back here

That will work.

Parts came today and I installed them no problem. There are a couple of differences that don't really mean much, mounting and dimensions are identical. The only thing I had to modify is the brake light switch, this new one has one wire while mine had two and connectors weren't compatible. I simply switched the old one over since it fastens to the lever in the same way. I'm also not sure if the boot is meant to be installed through the floor cover hole or just rest on top of it, mine didn't have a boot before. My 70 is lhd but these are the same part numbers listed for the jdms
