as the title suggests, id like to try to replace/upgrade the factory amp located behind the front passenger glovebox in my 80, rather than bypass it with a new head unit. (i just really like the look of the old school 90's head unit and don't want to change it- also i like the two little tweeters in the trunk! ).

i've already swapped all 6 speakers, as well as the sub. can anyone help me either:

1) track down the oem part number for a new drop in replacement of the factory amp or ...preferably

2) help locate any information if anyone has attempted this before (i didn't see any). i'm looking at some smaller amps online now like this one: Stealth Series - https://soundstream.com/product/st4-500d/

I hid both my amps under the center console. I put a small Jensen XDA92RB where the factory sub used to be. Fits pretty good with minor trimming of the bottom of the console itself. I did get rid of the CD changer at the same time, so dont know if it would fit in there with it or not.
