Replace big brake vacuum reservoir with 2 smaller?

Can I replace the big brake vacuum reservoir with two of the common 2Litre smaller ones?... would they be better both at one end of the system in series or parallel? or one at each end?

uh-ohh, i think i've said something wrong maybe...

I like the idea of one at each end for fail-safe/redundancy

Vacuum reservoirs are used to supplement brake booster vacuum and should be positioned close to the booster. If two smaller units fit the space better, I don't see an issue with using two.

Try to keep the lines between them as large as possible. Vacuum needs larger diameter plumbing than pressure to get the same flow rate.
