Hey gang, looking for someone in Reno/Sparks area to check out an '85 FJ60. I'm located in southern California so swinging by is a little tricky.

Is this it 1985 Toyota LandCruiser
Wont see it until this Thursday... Will report at the club meeting. How did it look? We talked about this thread yesterday, was wondering if it was better or worse than the pictures made it look.
@Sawmill This may be a little farther for you but I think it also looks like a pretty solid FJ62 so newer and with EFI and some other upgrades from the FJ60, oh and it's cheaper. I contacted the seller and he said he'd be willing to go to $3800(which I think is a really good deal considering what people are asking for now a days), this was originally for myself but I'm trying to practice some self restraint and not go buy this thing. Anyway I just thought I would throw that out there for you or anyone else who might be interested.

Good luck with the one you guys are test driving this weekend! Hopefully that will give you and the wife a good indicator as to whether or not this will meet your needs. While very capable trucks, and loads of fun, the lack of creature comforts and some refinement found in most newer vehicles is a hard adjustment for some people.Greg gave me some great info about the vehicle and provided some much appreciated honesty. I'm truly thankful for the help on this even if it's not going to work out.

Lot of TLC, money.... maybe, maybe not was hard to tell. Lots of TLC for sure.We already talked. Hopefully he can find one in his budget range. Sounds like this one needed a lot.
