So I'm currently replacing my relay rod ends, and I'm running into a problem where the tapered bolt that the steering damper sits on is stuck in the bracket that's part of the driver's side (RHD) relay rod end. I have an OME steering damper, so the bolt is different than the stock one.

Has anyone had any luck removing their OME tapered bolt without damaging it, and then re-used it in their new relay rod ends? If so, do you have any tips?

If I can't re-use it, does anyone know if these bolts are available from OME individually, or will I have to buy a new steering damper that comes with all the hardware?

Thanks!

Is the fork-like part of that ball joint separator wide enough to sit on the relay rod end and not on the flat part of the tapered bolt itself? I tried using my ball join separator, but it was too small and was sitting on the flat part of the bolt. Basically just pressing the bolt into itself instead of pressing it out of the bracket on the rod end.

Ah yep that's exactly what I mean. Definitely looks big enough to work.

Thanks for your suggestion!
