I thought I would post this as I could not find any info on it. I am removing the back panel to fit a troopy back onto a hj47 cab due to the old one being to rusty to fix

Looks like a lot of work, and you appear to be doing it well!

nice work, but which part is too rusty to fix?
Its replacing another cab which has no floor left in the pans and no windscreen base for the full extent left to right plus a s*** load more areas. This one has no rust what so ever so I thought it was the neatest and fastest way. It only took a hour to remove the back and now I just spot weld back onto the waiting troopy back which was also bought but it was a 45 with a little rust in the cab not a 47 cab which is what I need.

You might want to edit your title to to say "45 series cab" instead of 40:rolleyes:

Ok what’s a 47 and a 49?

Could you take the back section you just took off and put in the post to me in the US. I have a useable 82 FJ40 tub would like to use to it to make a 45 Ute cab. Should fit in an oversize envelope. LOL

Looks like it was a 81 or 82 Ute?

Such rust free sheet metal... I'm somewhat jealous. I could use that same section. My cowl is repairable but the floor, inner rockers, and outer rockers are missing more metal than is left (well almost). :D
