Removing plastic wood trim on dash (1 Viewer)

So I pulled the trim off my dash pretty easily. The center console, not so much. What’s the best adhesive remover to use? Seems like Goo Gone eats into the plastic.

Is it pretty standard to just leave the plastic or are people having good success with the after market stick on trim packages?

Warm it up with a heat gun or hair dryer and it will peel off with the glue

Unfortunately the console didn’t do that. The dash worked like a champ.

I used this stuff. It works without eating the plastic, I will say though, I had to make several passes at it over several days before it finally all came up. I used a plastic scraper and basically took the adhesive off in layers. I got this stuff at Walmart.
