Was trying to remove the NPT plug in the front knuckles of my '88 Fj62. Of course one came right out, the other one frozen in place, Kroil, heat, open end wrench, nothing would budge it, even started to round off the corners!!
Ended up using a long 1/2" socket extension, put the female square end on the plug, fits very well, which leaves the male end accessible to use my trusty Crescent wrench or open end wrench to get some decent torque. It came right out!! Just a tip, maybe has been done before.
