iv read several threads but can someone give me some quick tips or words of advise because im in my garage right now trying to remove the f out of my 1970 fj55, with just the bellhousing and not with the trans, i read there were four bolt that held the bell housing to the tran which i removed but is that all? excuse my ignorance but im young and only self tought

Front motor mounts, rear motor mounts (which are on the bellhousing). Throttle linkage, don't forget the choke cable...

I do remember having to pry the two apart as the input shaft was a tight fit. I'm not sure how easy this is when just pulling the engine. I went with pulling the entire engine/trans/xfer out and then separating them out on the floor. That way I could keep them level and pull them apart.
