I've searched any phrase I could think of and couldn't find anything..... which probably means that I should be able to figure it.... but I can't - can't even think of what's it really called. I'm replacing door seals and need to remove the door limiting strap thingy on the front doors so I can get the new seals on. Anyone have a tip for my Friday night brain freeze? Not looking forward to driving it tomorrow without seals on would be like.

Should be able to just remove the pin attaching the door check to the pillar.

Thanks and I hear what you're saying, but can't figure how it comes out.
Roll the window up. Remove the door panel. Remove the bolts on the frame and on the door and remove it through the inside of the door.
