It was recommended in this thread on AC work to remove the front PS seat to allow better access:

Looks easy enough to remove except I'm wondering how the plastic cover pieces are held on over the rear mounting bolts. Are they just force fit on?

Can I safely pop them off with a screwdriver?

Thanks in advance

They clip on to the seat rail brackets. They have small tabs that slipover the edge of the brackets. It is tricky to gert them off without damaging the tabs. Since the weather is warm you should be able to remove them without breaking them. You have to carefully pry them off. In cold weather it is quite easy to break off the tabs. I recommend you move the seat back to remove the front bolts and the slide it forward to remove the rear bolts. Then rock it back to unplug the power connector and remove the seat thru the front door opening.
