Hey Guys,

Relic Run in Uwharrie National Forest in SC is around the corner ... save the date April 26th - 29th

Every year the event gets bigger and this year they are expecting one of their biggest turnouts. It would be great to meet some fellow cruiser heads from across the country, do some camping and wheeling and of course making the epic journey there and back again!

Few local guys have expressed interest. Would be cool if we could get a convoy of rigs headed to this event. On our way out of Music City we could meet up with you guys in Knoxville

The plan at the moment would be make the push out there in 1 day starting early morning of the 26th. Camp, wheel, drink on the 27th, 28th and head home on the 29th, across 2 days stopping somewhere along the way to camp to break up the drive. Get back home the 30th

So who's in?

So far we have:

1. @ukaviator - FJ45
2. @Tennessee80 - FJ40
3. @Monty231 - FJ40
4. @Bama4door - FJ60

About the Event
The Carolina Relic Run was created as a special event for vintage Toyota Land Cruisers (build dates of 1990 and earlier) in the Southeast but is open to owners of all Toyotas having 4WD. The event is organized by the Olde North State Cruisers, a not-for-profit chapter of the Toyota Land Cruiser Association (TLCA). Click HERE to view the article which appeared in the Jan/Feb 2018 edition of Toyota Trails, the official magazine of the Toyota Land Cruiser Association (TLCA) [See cover and pages 28-35]. Click HERE to view a thread which includes the published photos and other great ones that didn't make the cut.

Since the focus of the event is on Toyota “Relics”, only trucks with build dates of 1990 and earlier will be able to participate in the official “Relic Run”, be in official event pictures and be eligible to receive awards. However, we encourage Toyota 4×4 owners of ALL YEARS to attend the event, participate in the raffles and camp with us at the Badin Lake Group Camp!

The 2018 Carolina Relic Run will be held Thursday, April 26th – Sunday, April 29th 2017 at Uwharrie National Forest!!!

Uwharrie National Forrest is approximately 51,000 acres in size and offers outdoor activities including hiking, horseback riding, mountain biking, fishing, swimming, boating and approximately 20 miles of trails designated for off-roading.

Campsite Details:
Olde North State Cruisers has reserved all three group campsites at Badin Lake Group Camp, which offers flushable toilets, vault toilets, showers and drinking water. As a reminder, Uwharrie National Forest is an alcohol-free area. Based on feedback from last year, we'll mark off an area for trailer parking and have designated camping areas for those using generators and another for the "late night" crowd.

From the Eldorado Outpost:
Head north on Hwy 109
Turn left on Mullinix Road
Turn right on NF-554
Turn right on Badin Lake Road
First left on Badin Lake Ramp
Turn right into the Group Camp area about 1/4 mile down.

Family Friendly:
Like all other Olde North State Cruiser events, this one is also open to your entire family, including children and dogs. Please be thoughtful, courteous and cautious and leave at home any member of your family that might not be well socialized or be otherwise unpredictable at a gathering of this type. Problematic people and pets deemed to pose a safety hazard or who show aggression will be removed from group camp. On a happier note, kids age 17 and under get in for free!

Trails for Everyone:
The 20-mile trail system is primarily geared for 4x4s and four wheelers but all vehicle types, including dirt bikes, are permitted. As trail difficulties ranges from mild to difficult, there are trails suited for both stock and built Toyotas, and everything in between. Note: Your vehicle must be “street legal” to access the trails from the campsite. Otherwise, it will need to be trailered.

Beuller ..... Beuller ...

C'mon Appalachia what gives?? You guys are 2-1/2 hrs closer than us to this event .... any takers!?

Post up, let me know. We could meet up on 40 somewhere and continue the convoy to Relic Run
Wish some of you guys could have joined us, it was a fantastic event

We drove our rigs just shy of 1000 miles over 4 days and wheeled them at the event with ZERO brake downs!
The road trip was great with a convoy of 4. The event was well organized and record attendance this year with 70 relics plus other cruisers.

Planning on doing it again in 2019, hope some of you can make it
