Hey all, I'm planning on isolating all "new" power needs from my swap/upgraded FJ62 and am thinking about 2 separate bussman panels, 1 for constant draw needs and another for ACC/Switched needs.
Constant 12V is easy, but for the switched power box, should I use a relay or constant Solenoid or something different all together? What's best?
TIA!

What is your max current draw for the switched/ACC side?
I'd expect you should only require a decent size relay. Solenoids (which are just big relays) are for heavy loads like winches, starters, auxiliary batteries etc.

Power feed to heavy load circuits like spotlights should still be separately relayed.

I used the acc wire from ign to activate a relay (30amp) that feeds a 8 circuit fuse block.
