Hi everybody!

Has anybody recut some all terrain to make them look like mud tires? Completely removing some lugs for better traction? Because there's a lot of people using BFAT over here, you sometimes can snatch some pretty cheap. Or else, has anybody regrooved some mudders to get a better snow handling and braking?

Best regards.

Max.

I would not reccomend this.

Mud tires are no that much more expensive than AT tires.

But if you really want to. Then go to town on a single disposable AT. see how the pattern turns out. post pics and then when all is said and done you will be better off knowing is you really want to do it or not.

Siping is becoming really common. It makes a great improvement in rain/ice/snow performance for both AT and MT tires. About $10 per tire. Supposedly improves durability too...drawback might be chuncking in rocky/shale conditions.
