Received a "Toyoda" Steering Gearbox.. (1 Viewer)

I ordered up a steering gearbox through a junkyard to rebuild and noticed the casting "TOYODA"
Anyone who has done a gearbox rebuild or can remember what theirs said if they've ever pulled one please chime in and tell me if this is normal of if I got jipped. Others castings are 60800 and 21.

IIRC, the founding family name, dates back to the loom works that predates the car company.

its a genuine one. even my fj45 had Toyoda power steering

Toyoda is for Toyoda Industries which manufactures the gear box casings through their steering company JTEKT.
