Hard to see. Where'd you install the shims? Heading to HD tomorrow
Yeah let me see if I can get you more pics. I just did flat bar. Cut them and drilled holes to get them to fit.

Hi Mickey - Thanks for the write up. I'm looking to get the Orthopeds with the heating (for the wife) and AC ventilation (for me!) I also wanted to get them in matching tan leather interior. Any idea if Recaro does custom colors? I've been in contact with them via email but they are telling me to talk with an installer/distributor.

Also, does anyone know if/how the electronic seat adjustments and the heater/ac would work? Do I need a special bracket? And would the wiring used for the current seats work for the seat adjusters on the Recaros? If the folks at Vivid or Recaro get me answers, I'll report back here.
Orthos look really nice. I don’t know much about them. You would definitely have to do some custom work to get them to work electronically. As for mounting I think a planted bracket would work. Your going in uncharted territory for those, but if your pretty handy and can figure stuff out you should be able to get them working.

As for custom leather I believe you can only get what they advertise on their site.

Don't worry about it man! I figured it out. I don't know how bad this is but I got grade 10 washers and stacked them.

I actually ended up swapping mine to the the square bar to get more height.

Am I right in thinking when you purchase one of these seats there's no difference between a DS and PS seat?

Looking at this Specialist S

How is the seat belt clip install? no adapters needed?

I can get you a picture, but had to buy a 3 inch metal extension bracket.

Curious why folks choose Specialist M vs S? I have lower back issues so I'm gathering Intel right now!!

@alia176 The "M" model has a sliding adjustable bottom cushion so if you have long thighs they will be not be left hanging. The "S" model has a fixed bottom cushion and is made for smaller drivers, according to the Recaro website.

Very interested, thanks.

And confirmed there's no difference between DS and PS when buying the seats?

Awesome info, thank you sir.

Have you looked into availability? I was looking to get top of the line Orthopeds from Recaro last year and they weren't in stock anywhere and had to be ordered from Germany. I was looking at a long wait.

I ended up with Scheel-man seats because they were available, and were really, really nice! I've had 'em for almost a year and I love them and if you have tan interior, they look like they could have come this way from the factory.
