Wait...you mean to put in place while you take your sweet pimp ass time rebuilding the locker? 🤔

No, just a key chain so you have a constant reminder to rebuild them in your pocket at all times.

If someone runs into a non-rebuildable locker motor, there's a fairly good deal for a front Aisin/Toyota motor on Rockauto, $279 plus shipping.

Recently ordered a "Private label white box --- closeout" front locker motor from Rockauto, $239+ $8 shipping. Turns out it was a new Toyota part with the blue Toyota label removed (still some glue residue on the motor case) and a smaller oval blue-silver AISIN sticker put where the original Toyota label had been, same as what they do with the Toyota/Aisin water pumps.

Initially while looking at the photos of the part on Rockauto I was concerned it might be some chyna or rebuilt part, nope, brand new Japan/Aisin part. Came in a brown shipping box, wrapped in bubble wrap with the original Japan anti-corrosion paper wrapped around it.

Unfortunately I checked the price again a few minutes after ordering one and it jumped to $279, but still a good deal for an AISIN front locker motor. The rear AISIN locker motors are currently $410 on Rockauto.
FWIW.

Currently rebuilding my front:

Yeah he did but he said he doesn't do it anymore hopefully I can find somebody who will do it I think I can do it it's just having the time to do it would be my biggest issue
not promissing anything, but I retire in 3 years and my wife might inspire me to start it again.

Yes ... exactly this for my pimp ass. As an added bonus, I could carry them with me when wheeling for the occasional instance of them getting stuck in the locked position (not sure how rare/common this is). Pop the lockers out, put in the blanks, drive home and take my pimp ass time figuring things out.

Anyone having issues with the plastic plugs cracking when removing the lockers? It's a PITA getting the truck in the garage and it's currently 10-28*F outside and I'm concerned the plug will break in the cold.

Ordering the gasket kit now from Joey. His site is so dangerous with "well maybe I need that too" stuff.

Welp...I’m on it!

Thanks Joey ... as predicted, not enough self control ... 5 items and $200 later I'm off the Wit's End site.

The FSM only shows removal off the axle. The actuators are a replacement item. Not intended to be rebuilt, so the FSM doesn’t cover overhauling it.
