anyone know where the end of this spring at the red arrow goes? does it clip i somehow against a metal part internal to the lock somehow? i took too much apart and now i need to get it together again. THANKS

ok. it's back together again.
i had to pull the 90 degree "stay part" out do the hole and allow it to rotate around until the other end caught. then i forced the 90 degree stay part back in.
ignore the green circles please. i figured out where it goes.

so it looks like it is back in the door but not securing.
so if anyone knows anything about that spring or how this sort of brown lock cam is supposed to be oriented i'd love to hear about it. THANKS.
