Is there a big difference between fj60/62 mirror vs the FJ40?

My son has my 60 now, so going off of memory here - but as I recall, the 60 mirror is longer than the 40 mirror, which is pretty short by modern standards.

Mirror only or mirror and arm? One mirror arm mounts on a mostly horizontal surface (60) and the other arm mounts mostly on a vertical surface (40/45). Mirrors are similar in size, but the 60s are day/night so the mount at the arm is probably different. But it’s been almost 25 yrs since I owned my 60

Dang. Theres a 60 being parted out here local and I was hoping to maybe use it lol. May still buy it for $20 just cause
The 60 series mirrors are still available through Toyota, just bought one a few months ago through Toyota parts deal. Think it was about 40 bucks.

The mirror is still available new. Around $100. Have a few new ones to replace the mirrors on a 79 and 82 windshield. 87810-90801 is the part number for the 3/82+ version with the night time handle for glare. While $20 is a lot cheaper for used wouldn't be worth the hassle of dealing with a 60 series arm.
