I had this same problem in college. I pulled the line running to the rear to clean it but then I had an epiphany...I routed the line through the firewall and to the ashtray, cleaned out the reservoir and filled it up with vodka. The alcohol acted as a great de-icing agent for the front while providing wet bar service to the cabin. It was so "James Bond".

DON'T DO THIS AT HOME... OR NOT AT HOME... OR ANYWHERE

That is a common mod raging alchies do to their vehicles. Not saying that is/was you as I remember being in college. I was just shown this mod when I was in high school by an employee at my best friend's father's company. Since then I have come across 2 other complete drunks that have done this. My point, if there is one, is that if I am aware of this I am sure the police are too. Not that it is illegal just pointing out that I don't think it is all that sneaky of a way to hide the booze. And if you ever were pulled over for DWI it would be used in evidence against you.

LOL...Sneaky did not even enter my mind when I did this (18 years ago)...Mixing up Red Bull and Vodkas for the ladies in the parking lot of the frat house with Barry White bellowing in the background while a miniature disco ball spun attached to the headliner was what I was ALL about!

Grown up since then...

...a little

Back to the topic. A needle poked into the rear spray nozzle can work wonders.

I'm not getting any fluid to the back, but the wiper isn't moving when I try to spray either. The wiper works on the other settings. Should the wiper be moving when I try to spray?

how do you spray the rear? i've been trying to figure that one out.

i just realized this was the 100 series thread. you wouldn't by chance know how to do it on a 70 series, would you? 😬
I've never had the honor of driving a 70.....or anything other than a 100 for that matter...Great SHAMEEEE

Mine hadn't worked for years and I recently replaced both tubes after accidentally cutting them and now it does. It also seems to have fixed a problem that I was told was a crack in the washer fluid reservoir but was apparently a leaky tube. The tubes are cheap at O Reilly and I had a known leak under the front when I added fluid but just believed the shop guys that it was the reservoir. To be fair it had some body damage there and dad put spray foam there to hold it together so you couldn't see parts of the tubes.

to resurrect an old thread...how do you get the sprayer piece to come off? I just picked up a 2000 100 series yesterday, and the sprayer doesnt work for the back window. Have juice on the front ones, so I know I have washer fluid.

Way late in answering, but...

How do I know, you ask? Mine is clogged, too. I removed the sprayer and tried spraying with just the bare hose. Worked just fine, but what came out was a disgusting slurry of black flakes and washer fluid.

Checked the washer fluid reservoir and found this floating in it:

That black section is a match for the goo that came out the back pipe. Next step is to flush the reservoir and try flushing the back line again.

Anybody know why this thing was in my washer reservoir?

It's a level gauge. When you're filling the reservoir it floats up and hits the screen to tell you you're about pour your washer fluid all over the battery.
And if you do use real washer fluid, it'll be less likely to grow black scuzz (that's a word, right?) in the lines and tank!
You might have to clean out your tank. Good luck.

Good to know. Do you know how I get a new one? I don’t see a part number and I sure am not going to put that one back in.

And yes, the washer tank is disgusting. The good news is it was way easier to remove the tank than I thought it would be, just three bolts.
