I have an 06' with factory tint on the rear windows. I'm debating on tinting the rear windows and hatch with a darker tint or find a set of window shades. Does anyone know of a good set of window shades? Post a link if you got it. For the most part i take everything out except a few of my tools when i'm not in camping mode but there are those times i leave everything in for a couple of days. In those cases i would prefer to have that area dark, to help keep things cool and to also hide what i got. If you don't know of any shades whats a good tint percentage to put over the factory tint?

    Thanks,

Tint. I have a 98 with the bronze that was 20% and I tinted 10% over that so my overall tint is less than 5% per my tint guy. Just get LED reverse lights to help see out the rear.

Rear shades are annoying and with Tint you never have to think about it

I have a set of these from Australia, work great out on the beach.

Designed to be used while you sleep in the truck too. Saw them on a 105 build review on Ronny Dahl’s YouTube channel and knew they were exactly what I wanted. Especially since most states allow rear windows on an SUV to be “blacked” out for the most part.

I had 20% ceramic put all over my 100, with 50% ceramic on the windshield. The difference is very noticeable, especially in the front.

I'm sure it's not as effective as the shades posted above. Those look awesome.

30% Formula1 Ceramic for me. Works like a charm here in Central TX. Noticeable decrease in heat especially when paired with a quality windshield shade.

been considering those, how much did they run you??

To OP, for day to day (not camping), get tint. I did limo all around mine, it's a bit dark at night... I did 15% all around in my 80 and I think that it is the best compromise.

my 100 has 50% full windshield, Limo (which i believe is 5% with a bit of reflectivity) all around.
my 80 has 50% full windshield, 15% all around

The tint makes a huge difference in temps inside and makes it way more comfortable to drive on a daily basis.

I dont think anything over 15% is going to block enough to prevent someone from seeing into your rig.

Tint, Johnson or 3M as I believe those are the only 2 that offer lifetime warranty- aka won't purple.

We have 20% on ours over the factory tint. Throw sunscreens over the windshield and my wife can feed our son in the car without anyone seeing in.

Fair warning- this makes it dark for backing up at night.
