is there any aftermarket rear spring perches for fj40s that are stronger and can be welded on ? both sides on my 76 fj40 are cracked at the 90 degree bend. any ideas please help

Dodge spring perches are commonly used on cruiser axels. Check the spring over section of the tech links section for part #s.

maybe i gave to wrong part description. the cracked part is where the rear springs attach to the frame just behind the door openings. the hangers are cantalievered out from the frame and they cracked right at the 90 bend. thanks. any ideas?

Make some triangles to help support that bracket and weld it all up. Something like this:

This guy sells a whole kit for boxing the rear frame.

If they are already ripping off of the frame you have a ton of work to do...

personaly, I would just inboard your rear springs to solve the issue.

It's time to go to coils!

appreciation

thanks people. i ran a v groove through the crack hangers and put a fat weld down the middle then i welded in some 1" box stock like the pictures show. from the frame to the outside of the hanger. thanks for the feedback
