My rear springs bend gnarly with weight (not maxing out payload). McDonalds arch style. Is this normal? I only got 45,000 miles on my 03 taco trd 4x4.

What's up?

Thanks

The Tacoma factory springs are very weak in my opinion. I would suggest swapping some aftermarket springs in. I have used OME springs on my 03 and 06 Tacoma with good results.

I used ALCAN custom springs on my 96 Tacoma, which were great , however not cheap.

Above advice is spot on. To avoid the wrap, the stockers must go. There are an unlimited number of chiggers, widgets, devices and voodoo that might help but the answer is to replace the factory springs.

Thanks guys. This helps. But lame. What's up Toyota? I thought the TRD was the baddest (new) stock machine out there. Dissapointed with the weak spring news. Oh well, still got the locker I suppose, and new Heavy Duty Bilstein shocks on the way. Hopefully helps a little.
