how hard is this to replace? Is a flux core mig welder good enough to do it with? And lastly how long should this take a decent (lets just say 3 bannannas) mechanic to do. Lastly, does anyone have any advise from when they did it and what would they do different?
I think i will wait untill fall to start this project. Driving my contour in the summer just makes me sick when I could be driving the cruiser with no top and no doors.
damn,,,almost forgot.... Its an Oct 74 fj40, no ambulance doors.

I used 2.5x2.5" 1/8" Box steel. Cost like $15 and I used .035 flux core wire to weld it in. I used it to replace my rear sill and the rear part of the deck. Just be careful and drill your holes correctly. I did the whole rear end of my 40, rear quarters and sill. Do the sill first.
