Rear shoes

The non us front HD drums that I have seen have similar diameter drums to fj60 rears but have ~4.5" wide shoes.

I have never personally seen finned rear drums.

My fj40 ff rear axle currently has FJ60 shoes in it that as far as I could tell we're identical to the ones I removed.

I have never personally seen finned rear drums.

First two are the 75-80 heavy duty drums. My garage has storage from my kids which I hope to move out as soon as it cools off. Had to crawl over stuff to get the pictures. The shoes could be over 3" but would have to pull the drum to be sure. But not 4 1/4" wide. If I remember the backing plate is held on with eight bolts. Later FF axle post 8/80 only uses four like the 60 series. That is the later in the last picture and the shoe is just over 2 1/4" wide.
