What type of shock would you recommend on a stock suspended FJ62. I'm replacing the rear brakes and it looks like it still has the original shocks. What about getting something that is a little longer that would at some point work with a suspension upgrade. 2 or 3 in lift. thx clone
Been wondering this for months.

Kurt at Cruiser Outfitters said this:

"I honestly don't have any reference material available on the Pro-Comp or Dick Cepek shocks, so I can speak as to their length nor valving and how it would work for your application.

You would be looking at ~$175 for a pair of the Old Man Emu Nitro shocks specified for your application shipped to your door.

Thanks and let me know if there is anything else I can assist you with!"
Just use stock shocks. They are only $25 each or so and last more than 10 years. That's hard to beat.

Otherwise, I agree, the OME's would be reasonable.
