Rear Shock ?

What type of shock would you recommend on a stock suspended FJ62. I'm replacing the rear brakes and it looks like it still has the original shocks. What about getting something that is a little longer that would at some point work with a suspension upgrade. 2 or 3 in lift. thx clone
 
Been wondering this for months.

Kurt at Cruiser Outfitters said this:

Just use stock shocks. They are only $25 each or so and last more than 10 years. That's hard to beat.

Otherwise, I agree, the OME's would be reasonable.
