Hey all,
I recently noticed a leak at the rear pinion seal. I checked my diff breather and it seemed to be fine and clear. Ive also added some AT 205 with no change. It seems like its not common to have this leak so theres not too much info on replacing it in the forums. From what I've read there are two ways to fix it. First is replace the seal while the diff is still in the housing. Then just mark where the nut was and put it back in the same spot to get the preload needed. The second method I've seen is removing the diff and replacing it on a bench so that the proper preload can be achieved. Has anyone had this problem, and what did you do to fix?
Thanks in advance.
