anything special about doin rear pads on a 97?

remove the bolts holding the calipers on, pop the pads, compress the pistons, install new pads.......

about as basic as it gets,.......anything else???

Nope thats about it. I replace my rear pads the exact same way.

pretty easy. not as easy as the front...but easy.
don't forget the grease for the pins.

Why for? Squeek prevention or for ease of future removal?

I've done the tabs on the pads like it says in FSM, but never thought to do the pins.

about the only thing to watch out for is sticky pistons
