Hi, new to the board...
I'm in the process of a clutch and transfer case resealing job. My problem lies with the rear main seal bracket. From underneath, I took off the two bolts and I just can't seem to the get the bracket loose. Must I take the entire bellhousing off to do this, or is there a trick to it... some prying? I sprayed it with pb blaster junk, hope it helps. I'll get a pic up soon.

That 'bracket' has four bolts, it is the rear main bearing cap. If you do not have the oil pan down, you will not be able to drop this.

Good luck!

Oh..

And Welcome slow_cruiser!

You will need to re-torque those two bolts you removed to 76-94 FT-LBS
