Hit a bit of a snag replacing the rear shocks this weekend, going to try to weld in a new stud and use a nut rather than the bolt to hold on the shock but ultimately might grinding off the original mount and replace it entirely. If you have ever looked close at your mount it extends through the tower and also welds to the rear.
Anyone had to replace these and any leads on a solid stud that would be similar to the OEM to weld in?
Bolt basically fell of when removing and without going into detail, I cant drill and tap a new internal thread to the mount. Seen a few here weld a stud on which I'm fine with but thinking of other options if it doesn't work well.

I replaced one with a 7/8" bolt and nut. Get a long enough bolt so the shock isn't resting on threads.
