Vehicle is 1996 LX450. Ive had an issue with my AC for quite awhile and Ive replaced all three amplifiers and I have a new front blower motor and ac control panel. And I have tested my rear blower motor under the passenger seat and I know its bad, but I didnt care because I would be satisfied with just the front AC working. My question is if the rear blower/motor isnt working would that have an impact on the rest of the AC components?

Unless you're overseas and have dual AC, the rear blower under the passenger seat is for heat only. Many people disable it as it doesn't do that much.

If mine ever goes out or gives me problems, I'm going to pull it completely and replace with a marine unit that runs off diesel or propane.

x2 on what Ebag said about the underseat blower not having any connection to the AC in a US truck.

With that said, you haven't really given us a description of how the AC doesn't work. Does the fan not blow any air? Does it only blow warm air? Does the compressor cycle on and off? Does the vent temperature change with speed?

Give us some symptoms and we'll try to point you to a cure ;)

Blower motor does not come on at all. I have replaced so many AC components that right now im going through the wiring diagrams looking for anything to replace. One of the most frustrated projects Ive ever dealt with.

We need a detailed history of exactly what you've done, what you've troubleshooted, and what the symptoms are...and hopefully in more than one giant blob of a paragraph. ;)

You gotta be kidding:lol:. With the proximity of the catalytic converters under the front passenger seat, you could rig up a duct to capture all that wasted heat off the cats and prolly heat the entire cabin adequately.

Where are you located? As previously posted, if you have AC problems and you have a US spec truck, you're on a dead end street messing with the rear heater blower motor.

It wouldn't be for while I was driving.

The purpose would be as a heater for when the vehicle is stationary and the engine off. The :princess: would be thrilled if we went snow wheeling and she could climb into a toasty warm vehicle after a few hours of sledding/hiking/etc. Or leave it running for those cold camping nights. Or for when I have little brats running around, setup a bed in the cargo area and let 'em sleep in the truck while I get the tent to myself and the :princess:.... :hmm:
