About 50% of the time, the cable that supports the lower rear gate gets closed into the gate. See pic. A little annoying - is there an easy fix, or does nobody else have this minor issue?

Can confirm that the magnet mod works.
magnet works great.... i did this a few years ago and haven't had this problem since.
It works, and the quarter size magnets work better than the dime size.

I'm so glad I saw this! I've had this problem since I bought mine. Just figured since it's an 08 with high miles they replaced the cable with wrong length or something and didn't bother looking for a solution...
