REAR Full Floater/disc swap- brake pressure issue

I swapped in a 96' locked FF in the rear of my 94'. Seems to not be stopping as good as it should. I'm wondering about the proportioning valve... When you do this conversion does the valve need to be swapped as well?

Correction, the brakes are not as good as they should be....
 
He must have swapped a drum '94. Plenty of those. OP @silverhorse please clarify.

Did you change the master cylinder? I think you'll need the '93 spec disc/disc no abs master.
 
yep sorry, originally drum rear. I swapped in the disc master cylinder and FF rear disc ... but the parts came off an ABS truck. so is the ABS master cylinder the problem?

No way to know for sure. My guess is, the problem is the LSPV, which is what I think, gives the 80 it's mushy brakes. THe abs and non-abs master cylinders have different part numbers, but they look suspiciously the same.
 
So you somehow have a drum brake 94, which I don't think was sold in the US market, and you swapped a FF into the rear along with the master cylinder. You don't have abs or an LSPV and your braking seems inadequate? I would be concerned with whether the brakes bled out properly, and whether or not the calipers are functioning properly. I'd check the rear caliper slide pins and piston movement. Then ensure the brakes are thoroughly bled. Also, what pads are being used in the rear and are the rotors within service spec? I wouldn't recommend cheap organic pads, factory issue was semi-metallic, I upgraded to ceramics. Lastly, did you do a proper break-in procedure if you used new pads? A lot of people don't know to do this.
