Hi folks, I have made quite a few mods to my 87 truck. It has medium
load OME springs, Nitrogen Shocks and Reverse shackle up front. The ride is great but I have had to move the rear axle a tad back with some shims in order to avoid my drive shaft to push the gearbox.
This has made my rear end a tad lower than what I would like. Any ideas how I can gain an inch or so with out buying new rear springs?
Anybody lift the body on top of the chassis? any idea welcome.

You didn't say any thing about your rear shackles. If you have the stock ones you could try to get some longer ones and that would give you a little bit more lift. Just a thought.

That's what I did on my 55 for quite awhile, worked fine.

Yep some longer shackles would help.

If say my new shackles are 1" longer does that mean I get 1" extra lift? same for anti inversion schaks?

Thanks again, Rique

Nope, just 1/2" of lift. Mine were 1 1/2" longer than stock, so I got about 3/4" of lift...
