Rear door lock but still can open it (1 Viewer)

Randomly, my rear passenger door still can be open even when the lock button is down.

Well, when I hardly shut the door, it lock, but don’t ask me why, then, the next day, I can open it.

I can‘t figure the pattern.

I manage to try adjusting the interior linkage with all the possible way, still, I can open the door as described above.

Thought? Did I need a new latch ?

Here is the patter on mine, and it is only the rear passenger door. I lock it, shut it holding the handle up so it doesn't pop back up. With is shut and the lock down I can still open it. I repeat and then it stays locked. I ALWAY have to do it twice....occasionally three times. The lock never pops back up, but it just never takes on the first shut.
