Having an issue with my rear dome light in my 1995. The guy I bought it from didn't have a bulb in it, so I replaced the front and rear dome bulbs. Front works great, but the rear won't turn on in the "door" or "on" position. I'm sure it's an easy fix (hopefully...), but I don't know where to start looking to solve the issue.

Thanks

I had the same problem last week. I don't know if the wiring diagram for the dome is the same for the 1996 or not. It turns out it was a combination of a bad door switch and an intermittent bad dome bulb.

Dome lights have +12V active and the door pin switch and door 'on' position provide ground for the bulb.

So, get a meter and see if you have +12V at the bulb contacts. No +12V and you've found the problem. If you have +12V then see if the door 'on' position has a valid Ground connection .

Picture is one of my old ones showing a LED module being installed, but the key info is that it shows the end that should have +12V, the other end (right side) is the switched ground.
